How long do you keep my room photos, and who can see them?

Uploads and generated designs are retained for 30 days, then cleared. The photos you upload are of your home, which is a more sensitive thing to hand over than most product inputs, so it is worth being plain about what happens to them.
Retention #
Room designs and their source photos are kept for 30 days, after which they are cleared. Download anything you want to keep. If you need a design after that window has passed, it would have to be regenerated, which costs another credit and will not reproduce the previous result exactly, since each generation is independent.
Access to source images #
Source photos are served through short-lived signed links rather than public URLs, so an image address cannot be shared or guessed into working. The links expire in under a minute and are regenerated on demand while you are working. A URL copied out of the page and pasted somewhere else stops resolving almost immediately.
What is never published #
Your room photos are not published anywhere unless you choose to share a design. The public gallery, the style pages, and the examples throughout this site use images generated for that purpose, not customer uploads. There is no browsable feed of other people's rooms, and nothing you upload appears in one.
What else is in the photograph #
A room photo is rarely just a room. Post on the hall table carries a name and address, a framed picture on the shelf is a photograph of someone, a laptop screen might be open on something, and a window can show enough of the street to identify the building. None of that is a problem for the generation itself, and none of it is published anywhere. It matters at the other end, when you publish the render. Anything legible in the source can survive into the output, particularly text large enough to read and faces on a wall of photographs. This is one of the better reasons to run a clearing pass before a listing shot: removing the personal objects removes the disclosure along with the clutter. Worth a look at the finished image at full size before it goes out, especially around shelves, tables, and anything reflective.
What a render costs you in exposure #
A generated design has no metadata from your original photo attached to it, so a download does not carry the GPS coordinates or camera details that a phone photo often does. That matters more than people expect for property work: a listing image with the original capture location embedded is a real disclosure, and it is one you avoid by publishing the render rather than the source.
Deleting things sooner #
Deleting a design removes it from your account and from any share link that pointed at it. If you want everything gone before the 30 day window closes, deleting the designs is the way to do it.
