Do I lose a credit if the design fails?

Only if the design was produced. When the AI could not produce it (an error, a timeout, or a refusal), the credit goes back automatically and there is nothing to claim. A design that was produced but did not reach your account can be fetched again at no extra cost.

How long does a design take?

About 30 seconds for a typical render. The hard timeout is 60 minutes, after which the design is marked failed and the credit is returned.

No. Identical requests submitted within a few seconds of each other are treated as one accidental double-click and charged once.

Change one thing and run it again #

When a result is wrong, resist rewriting everything. Change the photo or the level of change or the prompt, not all three, and you will learn which one mattered. Because a design costs 1 credit, a deliberate second attempt is cheap, and a blind fifth attempt is where people waste a pack.
